I'm Kari, the creative soul behind My Peaceful Heart.
I'm an artist, a nature lover, a curious traveler, and a firm believer that life is a little more interesting when we leave room for color, creativity, and unexpected adventures.
I've always had a creative side, but like so many of us, I spent years juggling work, raising a family, and all the responsibilities that come with everyday life. Art was something I loved, even when I didn't always make time for it.
Finding my PEACEFUL HEART
As my children grew and life began to change, I found myself wondering what the next chapter might look like.
Turns out, it involved an RV, a whole lot of exploring, and more art supplies than I probably needed.
Solo travel across the country opened my eyes to new landscapes, cultures, perspectives, and possibilities. From quiet moments surrounded by nature to colorful places far from home, I found inspiration everywhere. And Bodhi was always by my side.
And somewhere along the way, creating art became more than a creative outlet. It became one of the ways I slowed down, expressed myself, and discovered a little more peace in my own life. That's how My Peaceful Heart began.
Behind the Art
My art is colorful, whimsical, and sometimes a little unconventional. I love bold colors, playful details, experimenting with different materials, and the freedom to follow an idea wherever it leads.
Some pieces are inspired by places I've visited or experiences I've had. Others begin with a feeling, a memory, or absolutely no plan at all.
You'll also notice a little peaceful heart symbol making its way into my artwork.
It's become a signature of sorts, but more importantly, a reminder that peace is something we can discover, create, nurture, and share, even when life isn't particularly peaceful.
I don't believe art has to be perfect, complicated, or even understood by everyone to be meaningful. Sometimes it's simply about the joy of creating.
More Than Just Art
My Peaceful Heart has grown beyond my original artwork into reflective coloring journals and thoughtfully created goods inspired by the same ideas.
It's my way of sharing a little creativity, curiosity, and encouragement to find peace, live peace, and give peace in whatever ways feel meaningful to you.
When I'm not creating, you'll probably find me exploring somewhere new, enjoying nature, or appreciating the simple pleasure of a quiet morning.
I'm still learning, experimenting, and figuring things out as I go. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
